Living in Colorado, I see amazing views and beautiful mountains every day. But when I visited the Lauterbrunnen Valley, I was awestruck by its beauty. Seeing the entire mountain and looking up at a peak that was over 9000 feet above me was overwhelming and magnificent. There were waterfalls everywhere, and the sound of cowbells ringing all around was just fun.

We stayed in the valley in town and had dinner together at the hotel. We rode a gondola lift up to the Schilthorn and hiked back down. Chuck had stayed here after college in the local youth hostel. We wandered through the valley and experienced the thundering Trümmelbach Falls.
